Seems like people are upset about Kiva providing micro financing to Americans. I guess all American’s got a bad rap sheet because of that hold botched financial crisis thing. Sure, you could generalize all American’s as if they’re all a bunch of imbecels when it comes to money; but, I don’t think that’s very fair. Lots of America’s do know how to save, invest and plan. That’s what Kiva is all about people!

So I’ve been accumulating the parts for my car computer. I had to special order the dash piece for my car from Taiwan. Around the same time I ordered a really cheap LCD for the computer. This is a quick write up comparing the two items shipping…

I’ve seen a few blog posts on the net about giving up TV. I’ve always considered most TV shows kinda like reading a book, except you don’t have to use your brain all that much to enjoy TV. Now, I guess there’s something to be said for mindless entertainment, but I have to wonder if it I could spend my time better and still derive some satisfaction from my leisure time. So, sticking with that idea I decided to make a list of things I would do if I I wasn’t watching TV:
- Read a Book
- Learn a new Language
- Walk/jog/run/bike/exercise
- Write Blog/Poetry/Short Stories/Novel/Journal/Etc
- Work on a programming side project
- Relax/Meditate
- Clean up my living space
- Learn to Uni-cycle and various other pointless skills to impress the ladies
- Hang out with friends
- Reflect on the day (could be considered meditation)
- Play music, listen to music, learn a new instrument
- Cook
I made that in about 5 minutes. I’m sure there’s more I could do with my time that I would enjoy. Anyone have suggestions, or their own additions?

I believe that the common notion that we have 5 sense may in-fact be wrong. This occurred to me while I was waiting for the water in the shower to reach an appreciably warm temperature. Directly above my cold waiting spot is the furnace vent. It where there I realized I could sense THREE things.
- The air from the vent
- The warm air from the shower
- The cold air from the vent
Now this is actually a poor example of what I’m trying to demonstrate, but I’ll give it a go. Our largest organ is skin and can sense two things. Tactile touch and temperature. Two mechanically different things are going on here. We’re attempting to enter the same physical space of an existing object and it is resisting appropriately; and, we’re sensing radiated waves of energy (infra-red and friends) as relative temperature.
Or just consider this, our eyes pick up visible light and our skin picks up thermal energy in the same manner. 6 senses indeed.

Choose to believe, for a moment, that we have been around for at least 100,000 years. Imagine that God has been watching us struggle through live for all these years. Then, 2000 years ago; or, 98,000 years later; he decides to step in and give us a savior! Why did he wait so long?
Now, lets pretend that we’ve only been around a few thousand years now. God created everything for us on this planet, including the fossils that suggest that there are things older than a few thousand years. Why would he trick us like that?
