Is the new back button in Firefox 3 actually an improvement?

Turns out the new FireFox Beta has a fat back button. I often find changing UI’s that have been static for a long time bad. I consider the re-learning to be a disadvantage; but, using Fitt’s law you discover that new people to the UI are initially faster. You also discover that the learning time is small compared to the marginally higher success rate of hitting the button. *shrug* Go figure.

    Hello James; Good reading. Sounds as though you are making good progress. I am also and have plans to just up and go fishing. If at first you do not succeed, then to hell with it applies to me now.

    As far as Fitt’s law and UI-It works best when you are absolutely starved and go to the Golden Arches.
