Adieu to Winnipeg

I started writing this when I got back to Saskatoon. I figured I should finish it and post it. Enjoy, lol.

Winnipeg, some call you Winterpeg, or Windypeg, or just… The Peg,
I never confirmed Winter, but I’ll take your word for it.
Your transit system was marginally better than expected,
but still needs to run on time.
You water seemed to kill off filters faster than I could kill off money,
and the color of your water seemed brown to me; which, I’m sure is perfectly healthy.
Every morning was a strange new smell,
either in my apartment, building, outside, bus or all of the above; you are, possibly the smelliest city ever.
People seemed overly suicidal in my neighborhood,
Why don’t they put bars on those windows already?
Your weapon of choice is a knife,
I wonder if they guy outside my building knew that?
I left behind some friends,
But maybe I’ll come back again.

The Command Start

Winter in Canada is like a plaque of cold for most of us. While some pretend to love winter, I doubt they’re out there on those -30C days plus the wind chill having a great time. This is my story…

This guy is biking down the road in the right rut of the far right lane. Three lanes, not a big deal really. So a bunch of cars pass him and we hit a light (SURPRISE!!!) He bikes around us on the left and runs the intersection. Alright… well thats interesting. Read the rest of this entry »

Being a Pain Pays

Ever since I’ve gotten my new car I’ve been bitchy in matters relating to my car. It all started with the process of agreeing on an amount for the car. They were giving TV’s away for FREE with all car purchases. Simply amazing, but I didn’t really want a $200 TV… So I said, “Give me the value of the tv off the price. I don’t want it.” They whod and hawd about it and said they couldn’t. Again I said, “Look, I can drive to Alberta and buy this car for less or you can give me the value of TV off the price of this car.” Sales guy goes to the manager and comes back with great news… they took $250 off the price of the car. Yay!

Panorama of Regina

So while I was in Regina for Christmas I mysteriously ended up on a huge man made hill. I thought it would be entertaining to shoot a sequence of pictures for a panorama picture. Below is the result of that.
