Experiences with Sleep
Oky, so I haven’t really posted much about how I worked an additional 5 hours on last Friday, 7 on Saturday and from 9:30am Sunday until 2am Tuesday (minus eating ONCE, travel and bathroom). Work didn’t seem to get how intense that was… but hey… they don’t seem to get alot of things these days. Anyways, to make that even better I was in the cusp of a nasty cold. Good times indeed, but enough talk about that. Lets talk about sleeping all crazy like!
In the past I have attempted to do what is called “polyphasic” sleep system. Basically, I was trying to sleep a bit at a time through out the day. Other may know this as “Uberman” sleep schedule. Anyways, I attempted to do that starting around 12am on Monday ( and again at 4, 8, 12, 4pm). Didn’t work so well… Didn’t catch any sleep at all. I was so wired on cold meds that I ended up working until 2am Tuesday then crashed.
Didn’t sleep to well that night. Woke up after my alarm but in time to get to work. Funny how I didn’t hear the alarm at all… Worked a bit that day after work, but mostly just tried to sleep again. This time I did get a decent sleep (I have later found out that I didn’t actually sleep. Apparently I was up… so the msn logs say… wow… must of been really tired), but slept through several alarms! Wow… Basically my attempt at polyphasic sleep was a complete failure, again. I don’t think now is a good time for that anyways. Most people seem to go mental for about 7 days when they start. I need to be less mental for the next 2 weeks or so. God save my soul!
