Damn me. Damn me and my wallet. Bah… I now own this… Why in gods name do I buy shit? REALLY??? I have to wonder if I'm addicted to buying toys. Wait, I already know the answer to that… I am. I admit that this… device… is probably more useful than previous toys I have bought (e.g. GPS, wireless mouse, portable hd's, 32″ HD tv…) But I don't have any freaking money. Well hopefully I get my tax money back really soon and I can pay that thing off right away. Then I only have to worry about paying off the other CC for the couch and it's all good. I can start saving money again. I hope. I can only hope that windows media center works better than the reviews claim it does. Basically it doesn't work at all… but I have a hard time believing that it still doesn't work at all after a year. I mean, microsoft does update software right? They release a bloody bug fix every day… so I would hope that they fixed the random crashing problem that was particularly anonying with their “special” verison of windows xp. If it does suck anus, then I'll install linux and be more than happey (except for the lack of being able to play an sort of games with a reasonable degree of performance) Oh, and it has an upgradable gfx card. WOOT!

Hmmm… Long time since I've wrote here. Nothing particularly exciting to report. Work is still full of needless frustrations and worries. My new gf is very cool, I'm enjoying all of the time I spend with her. I got my laptop back fron NeuroNet again, still not fixed. They have offered to beg Apple to do something for me, either replace all the parts in it one by one or a new laptop. We'll see were that goes… My basement sewer line backed up last weekend, so I had to get a plumber to fix it on Monday. Anyone have a mop? I've been working long days for work to get our software released. Days I don't do that I normally hop over to my gf's place. I started playing Rocket Arena again really late at night with all the 16 year olds. I really really suck now. I haven't touched the project for linkmedia for a bit, but I'll package what I have right now and send the instructions for making the gui stuff this weekend. I'm tempted to screw using xml and just make up some format for saving all the data needed for the program. Damn microsoft and their random changes to the linker (if you don't know what that is, don't bother asking). Oh, I screamed at work today. And yelled at inanimate objects. I didn't feel any better thou… maybe next time I'll yell at someone who will yell back. Ya, thats all I can think of right now. I think I'm gonna search for a new book to start reading and have a bath.

Well today is a mixed day. Some good stuff and some bad stuff. I'll start with the good.
Today I got my fathers estate clearance certificate. Basically means I don't have to worry about paying the government tax or anything like that EVER again. Sweet!
I also go the $10 rebate for my rapid attractive mod thingy. I'm amazed at how fast they sent that. I only mailed it 3 weeks ago.
Work informed us today that we are very close to making some big deals in the future. If it works out we will all be driving nice cars or something.
Now for the not so good news.
I didn't get paid today! YAY… err… NaY!!!! Apparently in a cash bind right now and neglected to tell anyone in advance. I wouldn't mind not getting paid on time if they told me there was even a possibility of it happening. They 'believe' they will be able to pay us on Wednesday. Origionally I had stated at work that I would quit. John convienced me to not quit… I'll still quit if they don't pay me Wednesday, cuz that basically means they lied to us. I won't work for liers.
I got a bill from the provience of saskatchewan demanding $260 in licensing fee's for my business. I don't have $260 to pay them (see above). The business doesn't even do business! So I'll call them tomorrow and see what we can work out. Honestly, I wouldn't be sad if they just took it all away. I have enough to worry about right now.
Nothing else exciting to report.

Oh… ya… so I spend 3 hours today writing a program that tells me the best items in this silly game GunBound. Fun stuff, nothing like using the useless computer science knowledge for something almost pratical. See can't get libxml2 to work under windows for anything at all. php4 uses it somehow… so I'm gonna pick at their source tomorrow and try to figure out HOW!!!! I love Open Source most of the time, but some times I want to poke it with a burning stick of radioactive donkey shit.
